Hey, Pictures Band Friends, Fans and Family!!! Just wanted to catch up with everyone since the summer is just flying by!! Seems like Memorial Day just yesterday and already we’re past the Fourth of July! (which was amazing, see below) We’ve been busy with the usual weddings, corporate and charity events; Just in the last month or so, whew! June 21st at the Prospect House in Dripping Springs, Tx, the ‘Wedding Capital of Texas with the new Mr. and Mrs. Trevin Galloway - from ‘Hooked on a Feeling’ to ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’, it was a lovely event and we enjoyed working with Barbara Hearne from Barbaras Brides and her Gerad team. June 22 brought us to the Big Sky Barn in Montgomery, Tx, a new venue for us and one we hope to come back to regularly - the staff was friendly, helpful and welcoming - thanks especially to Dana Soerries and to Katherine Mitcham, the wedding coordinator of Lean On Me Events. We especially enjoyed playing the first dances; ‘When I Say I Do’ by Clint Black and ‘You Should Be Here’ by Cole Swindel, not a dry eye in the house! We came back to the ATX for a UT party at the ATT Center on UT Campus. Our good friend Shelley has been hosting this event for many years, at several different venues around town and we’re always thrilled and honored to be invited to participate. This year’s circus theme was a blast; looking forward to next year already! Thanks to Jason at 2K Reserve in Hempstead for being so gracious and helpful at the Cale Abraham/Poynter wedding on June 29; we couldn’t have done it without you! July 4 was a barn-burner for sure - our great Tyler Tx friends Jose and Wanda Feliciano hosted a fantastic holiday party at Lake Palestine with Bella Vista Venue owner Dan Crouch, complete with a great band; Grant Cook and Friends, a taco truck, games and activities, and of course a spectacular firework display which impressed the 900 guests in attendance. Thanks to the Jose Feliciano Foundation for their philanthropy (and putting on a killer party!) This past week has been no exception; Friday night we hung out with the Tyler crowd again at Willowbrook Country Club for the annual Rose Festival party - everyone ate, drank and danced until midnight (when the bus leaves!) We appreciate our Tyler friends and always enjoy the Rose Festival parties. Saturday night we went across the state for yet another storybook wedding - Liza Gonzalez and Will Mims were a stunning Bride and Groom and Ramón Montoya from San Antonio handled the details at the Los Patios Laredo venue. Thanks for checking out the blog; hope to see everyone sooner than later - please check back frequently and keep in touch with us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!! The Pictures Band
